Broken Baby challenge double standards in the arts industry on their latest punk rock rager ‘Madonna’s A Dick’

Los Angeles, CA’s Broken Baby are back with another lightning-fast addition to punk-rock with their single ‘Madonna’s A Dick’. Inspired by the 80’s documentary Heavy Metal Parking Lot in which a young metal fan nicknamed ‘zebraman’ trashes punk-rock and calls Madonna a dick. (see this goofball below)

According to the band, song is somewhat of a statement on the double standards and sexism rampant in the music and arts industry experienced not only by countless women in the field, but by Bollinger herself. “That stuck with me,” explains Bollinger, “how at every level in popular culture, women are met with systemic sexism and summarily dismissed. It made me think, if she were a guy, ‘They’d probably give her a raise, she’d be the president of the United States,’ which became the chorus.”
