Ariel Beesley has shared a live version of her track ‘Awake All Night’ - it’s loud, addicting, and perfect for screaming while you fly on the 405
Ariel Beesley has ditched the studio in favor of a live recording for her latest single - a version of her track ‘Awake All Night’, captured on-the-spot at the historical York Manor in Los Angeles, CA. The single was recorded live at the virtual launch party for the singer-songwriters non-profit U Start Here, a support network for survivors of sexual assault.
A perfect snapshot of Beesley’s live shows ‘Awake All Night’ is unapalogetically loud, sonically-addicting, and perfect for screaming while you dance around your studio apartment or fly to work on the 405 - it also makes us so fucking nostalgic for live shows that it’s not even funny. We chatted with Beesley for some background on U Start Here, the live single, and the best time and place to turn your stereo to 11 while the new track is playing:
Is there something special about The York Manor that made you want to release a live track recorded there?
I love The York Manor, but it was more about the show itself and why we were playing that made me want to release a live recording from this specific show. The show was for the launch of my nonprofit I founded U Start Here, which aims to help survivors of sexual assault through therapeutic resources and community. I teamed up with this company Songbird Sessions to produce the launch. Their whole thing is about uplifting women in music, so it really was a perfect fit. The opportunity to combine my love of music with my passion for this kind of work was something that was really important to me, and I wanted to immortalize it in a sense with putting out this recording.
When's the best time / place to listen to the live version of 'Awake All Night'?
