Chanel & The Circus Shares Monochromatic-Drenched Music Video for "I Wanna Do Drugs"

by JAMES A. DURAN

Los Angeles based Chanel & The Circus just dropped a monochromatic-drenched music video for their latest track “I Wanna Do Drugs” - and it’s just the wired boost we needed to get us through another week of this pandemic.

While “I Wanna Do Drugs” was recorded entirely remotely with their “quarantine rock band”, Samson moved back home at the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic to produce the energetic video with their father, a musician and filmmaker as well. Using different colors to differentiate between drugs, Samson explained that while they want the video the be a fun and energetic break from the isolation that we all feel in quarantine, the track is a bit more personal detailing their own health issues and subsequent, strict sobriety.

Before COVID-19 put a pause on live music, Chanel Samson was making waves in Los Angeles not only with their band, but with most notably with their queer cabaret event The Secret Circus LA. Hopefully when things get back to normal, you’ll be able to catch Chanel & The Circus in full-eccentric glory live - and do some drugs if that’s your thing - or just fantasize.
