DM's First Single 'Freak in da Club' Is The 90's Electro-Thrash Soundtrack We Need

Pre COVID-19, covering raves and underground warehouse-parties wasn’t my favorite thing to do. Mostly because they were incredibly long, went on til the early hours of the morning, and I was (usually) sober while everyone around me was absolutely blitzed on whatever they found on the ground that night. Now, nearly a full year without a live show of any sorts, I realize how fucking stupid I was to take any of those disco-nights for granted - partying like that is primal and fucking beautiful.

In ‘Freak in da Club’, the first single to come out of Dani Miller and Ashley Smith’s new project DM, the duo capture those exact feelings of raw-club-intimacy with their nostalgic blend of 90’s-noise, Toronto-electroclash, and disco rage - making us even more excited to get behind (or in front of) the turntables once clubs open up again in the US. According to the band, what DM actually stands for is for you to decide (we’re going with Disco Mullet) and their main goal is ‘to make you dance and feel alive with love’ - fuck yeah.
