Recor details Bunny solemnly, saying “I wrote this EP about falling in love during the pandemic. This has obviously been one of the most intense time periods of all of our lives - evolutionary really, but even before the pandemic, I already felt this strange, heavy energy roaring through the world, all around me. It felt as though the whole world around me was that scene in Twister, where they're inside the middle of the super tornado. Imagine me as Jodie Foster - and I'm just holding on to this very precious, sweet new flame of love, trying to keep it from blowing out while the world LITERALLY gets blown away around me.”
‘Bunny’ as a title track is airy, dreamy, and filled with raw, hopeful emotion. Eschewing modern recording technology for an 8-track, and trading hours in the studio for first take recordings, Recor is a very raw version of herself with this project not only emotionally, but technically, stating “I wanted this project to have boundaries and imperfections (just like any good relationship)” In addition to the upcoming EP, Recor is currently writing a solo full length in Berlin (where she grew up) to be recorded in Los Angeles - and we can’t fucking wait.
