Janelane’s “14 Days” is a concise slice of indie rock suited for some personal reflection.

Janelane’s recent single, “14 Days,” evokes a variety of feelings about love. Or, perhaps, the lack thereof. The ambiguity of its message, namely the implications of “finding bronze” when you believe you “struck gold” in a partner, prompts the listener to question this significance themselves. Or, if not, it still gives them a killer track to listen to.

And killer it very much is, despite its gradual pace. “14 Days” is a very concise single that could be described as a minimalist slice of indie rock. From the calculated splash of the drums, to the low-key guitar riffs acting as the background for vocalist, Sophie Negrini, and her excellent singing, Janelane provides “14 Days” as a fitting song for some cloudy weather and alone time.
